- CLAY COOKWARE
Micaceous pottery is part of many cultures around the world; my pots use some of the traditional methods but are not intended to be replicas of a certain style. My style is influenced by many others, but it is based on my own ideas and experiences.
These unglazed pots are all handmade using the traditional coil and scrape method, wheel-thrown, or slab-built and altered. All pots are fired in an electric kiln, and some are additionally fired on an open pit, resulting in decorative 'smoke clouds', or carbon markings.
Cooking with clay has many benefits and I look forward to seeing and hearing about what you cook with my pots!
