This unglazed, hand-crafted pot- made with clay from the Manzano Mountains in New Mexico, USA- is perfect for slow-cooking stews, stocks, and soups in the oven or on top of the gas range. Season the pot before use for optimal results. If you are not familiar with cooking with clay, I suggest Paula Wolfert’s "Cooking with Clay" for recipes, history, and tips for using clay pots.
It's is food-safe, oven-safe, and even stove-top safe. Not dishwasher safe! Please hand wash with mild detergent.
